Awake Africa! Pray for Ronald Dalton Jr. as his movies and books attempt to awake our people in South Africa.
Majority of African Americans are Bantus people. Negro/Bantus tribes in Africa like Yoruba, Edo, Igbo (Nigeria), Ewe (Ghana), Ashanti (Cameroon), Kikuyu (Kenya), Beta (Ethiopia), Lemba (Zimbabwe/South Africa), Congolese etc. all have Hebrew in their languages? How did the learn Hebrew? Why is it the they keep Hebrew customs today? How is it in the Emmanuel Bowen and Danville Map of 1747 shows that Africa was called Judah, Quida, Whida which all means Judah? Why do the registry of slave ships during the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade says that the ships came in from “Judah?” Why did slave owners call Negroes “Heebows” as in Hebrews? Why did slaves have “Yah” in the prefixes and suffixes of their names? Why did they sing Kum ba Yah? You see, much research has already been done on who the descendants of the original Hebrews are, while many continue to ignore the empirical facts of research.
While there has been a lot of mixing with Negro and Hamitic Tribes, Bantus people in Africa are not "Hamitic" they are descendants of the Children of Israel. It doesn't matter what religion the Bantus tribes follow, their heritage goes back to Jacob and his 12 sons which make up the 12 Tribes of Israel. Soninke-Mandingo, Bambara, Wolof-Jolof, Mende, Kru, Akan, Ewe, Ga, Yoruba, Fante, Mossi, Bini-Edo, Yoruba, Igbo, Ibibio, Tutsi, Chewa, Nguni, Sotho-Tswana, Xhosa, Zulu, Lemba, kikuyu, kisii, kamba, sukuma, amhara/tigrayan, ethiopian Jews and more! All Bantus people in Africa are Semitic.

Not explained is how he would advance the film between exposures since this would require him to remove the camera from its compartment inside the fighting stick.

“Cinema is Here to Stay”: Ster-Kinekor Celebrates 127 Years of Cinema in South Africa
Over the last century, cinema’s obituary has been written many times, but the industry has proven to be central to popular culture (and several other industries), which is why cinema now celebrates 127 years in South Africa.
What is the magic behind the formidable staying power of cinema? Despite our fixation with our hand-held screens and home entertainment systems, the biggest and oldest screen certainly cannot be overlooked. With a larger-than-life screen, surround sound, luxurious seating, iconic snacks and highly anticipated blockbusters, cinemas provide an unrivalled immersive, multi-sensory entertainment experience.
For many, cinema is drenched in the nostalgia of magical moments and meaningful milestones. The memory of that very first movie you watched on the big screen. Shyly bumping hands while sharing popcorn on that first date. A family tradition of Friday movie nights. Kicking up conversation about the latest blockbuster. Escaping reality to live vicariously through someone else, somewhere else…
While the magical escapism of cinema is timeless, movie-going is also a classic activity for creating human connections. Now more than ever, people are craving a sense of community and social connections, and cinema still plays its role in bringing people together for a shared experience of louder laughs, bigger scares, greater thrills, and grander entertainment.
Great Moments at their Greatest
“When it comes to any highly anticipated blockbuster, very few can dispute that it really is better on the big screen, says Ster-Kinekor’s Acting CEO, Motheo Matsau. “And much to avid cinema-goers delight, 2022 is bringing countless thrilling titles to Ster-Kinekor’s screens, including The Minions: Rise of Gru, Jurassic World: Dominion, Top Gun: Maverick and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”
“It’s truly testament to the ‘staying power’ of cinema that the movie industry has been part of South African history for over a century, and that Ster-Kinekor has been giving our guests ‘Great Moments at their Greatest’ for over 100 years of those (from the days of Ster and Kinekor cinemas) – and many more to come,” says Matsau.
The Staying Power of Cinema
Ster-Kinekor has come a long way since the first movies were shown in South Africa, 127 years back. The first Kinetescopes in South Africa were opened to the public on 19 April 1895 in Herwoods Arcade on Pritchard and President Streets in Johannesburg, and in 1896, at the Empire Palace of Varieties in Commissioner Street, Johannesburg.
By 1910, the first dedicated bioscope was opened in Durban. After a colourful history of theatre launches, mergers and sales, in 1970, Ster and Kinekor theatres were merged to form Ster-Kinekor, after decades of operating as separate theatres. It was also during this time, nearly a decade after the first cinema, that television arrived in South Africa.
2008 was the start of Ster-Kinekor’s pioneering digitalisation, including 3D cinema – which gave rise to the multi-box-office-record-breaking and one of the highest-grossing movies of all time, Avatar, in 2009.
This was followed by the launch of the award-winning, multi-million downloaded app and Cine Prestige in 2012, and a huge roll-out of digital projection and sound technology over 2013.
Today, Ster-Kinekor has stood the test of time (and the trials of lockdown), with 395 screens, 57 155 seats, 860 staff, 650 tonnes of popcorn and a loyalty base of over a million across South Africa! After over a century of pioneering cinema innovation, it’s no wonder why for most South Africans, the word ‘movies’ is synonymous with the name ‘Ster Kinekor’.

Top 5 movies shot in Namibia:
10,000 BC (2008)
Namib Desert, Namibia
The production team of ‘10000 BC’ filmed a significant portion of the film in the Namib desert in Southern Africa to lense some pivotal sequences. Although the massive desert stretches for over 2,000 kilometers along the Atlantic coasts of Namibia, South Africa and Angola, it seems that the cast and crew members utilized the portion of the desert that is situated in Namibia.
In particular, they also taped several important scenes on the Spitzkoppe. It is a group of granite mountains located between Usakos and Swakopmund in the Namib Desert of Namibia. The pyramids, God’s palace, miniature replicas of the pyramids, the slave quarters, and even the Nile River were all constructed by the production team in Namibia. As per reports, the buildings were built in Munich and then transported to Namibia via 15 different sea containers.
Beyond Borders (2003)
Beyond Borders is a 2003 American romantic-drama film about aid workers, directed by Martin Campbell and starring Angelina Jolie, Clive Owen, Teri Polo and Kate Ashfield. The original music score was composed by James Horner.
The Ethiopia part of the movie was shot in the Namib Desert behind the Rossing mountain, about 30 km outside of SwakopmUnd. A huge refugee camp was built there. Thousands of movie extras were employed for the film. Ethiopian officials complained that a movie starring Angelina Jolie being filmed in Namibia gives a biased portrayal of their country. Ethiopia lodged a complaint with the Namibian government, saying "Beyond Borders" only shows the 1984 drought and starvation in the country and none of the progress made since then.
Flight of the Phoenix (2004)
Flight of the Phoenix was filmed on location in the Namib Desert, and was released in the United States on December 17, 2004, by 20th Century Fox. The film was a box office failure, and received generally mixed reviews; criticism was geared toward its similarity to the 1965 film, while praise related to the acting, direction and visuals.
Director John Moore scouted locations in Morocco and Australia before looking at, and quickly choosing, Namibia as the crash site. "Where most of the film takes place, was only a 20 minute-drive from the coastal town of Swakopmund." The Namib Desert location caused problems: cameras and other equipment had to be constantly cleaned of sand, and a "couple of hundred people were employed as 'dune groomers'" so that visual continuity could be maintained.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Mad Max: Fury Road is a 2015 Australian post-apocalyptic action film co-written, co-produced, and directed by George Miller. Namibia’s desolate yet strikingly beautiful desert landscape provided the ideal dystopian setting for the latest installment in George Miller’s Mad Max saga. In a post-apocalyptic world, Max (Tom Hardy), his companion Furiosa (Charlize Theron), and her band of fellow fugitives unite to defeat a ruthless warlord who pursues the fleeing rebels across the scorching dunes in an explosive blockbuster.
The Mummy (2017)
Principal photography on the film began on April 3, 2016, in Oxford, United Kingdom. Pinewood Studios and Shepperton Studios were also used for production, with underwater scenes shot at Pinewood. Filming on the movie concluded on July 17, 2016, in London. Production then moved to Namibia for two weeks, with principal photography wrapping up on August 13, 2016.
