Emmerson Amidu Bockarie simply known Emmerson is a singer and songwriter from Kenema Sierra Leone, West Africa. He is the Founder and CEO of his own record label and company, Sugar Entertainment.
He uses his music against political corruption in Sierra Leone while addressing the struggle of poor Sierra Leoneans.
He is a lyrical genius who’s music and talent overall have been highly successful at home and internationally, with several hit records to his credit. Having several hit albums beginning with Borbor Belleh in 2004 followed by later albums named Tu Fut Arata, Home and Away, Rise and Survivor and numerous no 1 hit songs such as “Tutu Party", "Borbor Pain", "Telescope" and "Munku Boss Pan Matches".
Emmerson is an electric performer, entertainer and a brilliant entrepreneur with a forceful drive and deep passion to further the Sierra Leonean music industry to greater heights matching the current international scene.
Emmerson’s work has earned him several awards and titles throughout his career. His love for the music has him constantly thinking of ways to change the industry and give opportunities to upcoming artists. His passion for community service is evident as he annually volunteers at the King George’s II Old Peoples Home by providing provisions to the residents.
Musically, he is constantly raising the bar and has collaborated with several African heavyweights from Nigeria and East Africa and still aims at doing more globally.
In 2020 Emmerson released the most anticipated project titled “9 Lives”.
