Omaraosa Manigault says it was 'very lonely' for her in the Trump White House as a black woman stationed alongside people who 'had never worked with minorities, didn't know how to interact with them.' 'It has been very, very challenging being the only African-American woman in the senior staff,' she told ABC News’ 'Nightline.' Manigault told the news program Thursday that the White House has a 'lack of diversity' that was regretfully, although that's not something she specifically blamed on President Donald Trump. A White House official herself until next month, Manigault said, Trump 'is not a racist,' even though he's made comments that were perceived that way. 'Yes, I will acknowledge many of the exchanges, particularly in the last six months, have been racially charged,' she said. 'Do we then just stop and label him as a racist? No.'
