1 Year of Travel and Growth in 2022 from Africa to Asia
As I reflect on 2022, I started the year in Africa at the pyramids of Egypt and ended the year in Asia. 🌎🗺

💼 Aside from geographical moves, I also took risks and executed professionally from shipping my first big product release, leading my team to win $4k at my 1st hackathon, speaking at events, panels, and exclusive tech conferences to top tech leaders, earning my first UX article publication, leading events in virtual groups and community chapters where I brought 100s of people together for a good cause & more.

🐳 Also had my first encounters with a humpback whale, climbed in tombs of ancient mummies, walked inside of the world's tallest & oldest trees, saw the top of Mt. Fuji and met a robot.
📉 Despite these hilights I had extreme lows this year. I am proud of myself for despite facing adversity and enduring traumatic events and injury that hindered my ability to walk, I took the calculated risk to go back out into the world and travel solo again. I continued to put myself out there and live outside my comfort zone despite my fears.
✍️🏽Reflection: I am grateful & recognize the incredible privileges I have had but Im not simply "lucky", I am deserving of the opportunities I have had because I have worked for, struggled over, vigorously pursued, and attracted them. This however doesn't mean we all aren't uniquely deserving.
One of my favorite moments this year was taking an active role in a march in Texas to protest #roevwade to reestablish care for basic reproductive health #humanrights.
The more I travel the more I recognize the privelages we take for granted like freedom to move about and have agency over our life and body. We can never take these rights for granted our ancestors fought for.
Traveling solo as a woman in the world is an act of defiance. I am in solidarity with the women who have dared to live boldly and been punished for it.
We must do what we can to break the cycle of #femicide #discrimination and restricting #humanrights
🥅 My 2023 resolutions pillars revolve around:
✨️Wealth Building- wealth of health, knowledge, skills, spirituality, mindfulness, relationships, experiences and financial investments
✨️Community Building- volunteering, recognizing there is no perfect time or circumstance to give back. I want to be more involved in making the world a more #sustainable and #equitable place to live in for current/future generations.
