Eswatini is a landlocked country in Southern Africa that was formerly known as Swaziland. It is bordered on the north, west, and south by South Africa, and on the east by Mozambique. The government is a monarchy, with the king as chief of state and the prime minister as government head. Eswatini has a traditional economy, with most of the population engaged in subsistence agriculture.

Swaziland officially changed its name from The Kingdom of Swaziland to The Kingdom of Eswatini. The country's new name means "land of the Swati people." The new name is derived from the siSwati language. A monarchy is ruled by a King and Queen who are supported by a Parliament made up of people chosen to represent the majority of the country's residents.

Eswatini is one of Africa's smallest countries. It covers a total land area of 17,364 square kilometers. It is bordered by South Africa and Mozambique. The landscape is mountainous and subtropical. Eswatini has about 17 protected areas where a wide range of animals can be found. Mkhaya is one of the best places on the continent to witness both black and white rhinos.

Eswatini grows sugar cane, corn, rice, citrus fruits, pineapples, sorghum, peanuts, and pumpkins. There are also a lot of cotton farms in the area. Emasi, or porridge, is a popular dish in this country, and it's made with sorghum, corn, rice, and potatoes.
