The Western Cape Department of Community Safety and Police Oversight says it's been a depressing weekend in Cape Town. At least seven people were shot dead in Manenberg and Nyanga. Gang violence is suspected of being behind numerous fatal shootings in Manenberg.

While three men were shot in Nyanga, in what's believed to be an extortion or retaliation attack.
