Africa's Burgeoning Gaming Industry Woos Young Talent
An increasing number of young Africans are honing their gaming skills intending to build professional careers in the fast-growing industry. An estimated five million people throughout Africa may have gaming jobs by 2025, according to industry experts.
In Ghana, video game developer Leti Arts, creators of African Legends, is using African talent to produce media games, comics and mobile apps centering mostly on a fictional theme of Africa superheroes. The products have drawn worldwide attention in gaming circles.
VOA's Paul Ndiho spoke in Accra, Ghana with Eyram Tawia, Leti Arts co-founder, who says the future of Africa's burgeoning gaming industry depends on developing young talent.
