Africa-China : The history, geopolitical and economic impact of China's engagement in Africa.

The Columbia Global Centers I Nairobi hosted Prof. Howard French Professor of Journalism, Columbia School of Journalism and the author of “China's Second Continent: How a Million Migrants Are Building a New Empire in Africa." Prof French expounded on the dynamic history of China and how it first developed its relations with Africa and the sequence of events that maps the geopolitical and economic impact of China’s engagement in Africa through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and its impact on Africa.
