Although it is not the first time violence has erupted against foreigners in South Africa, I am devastated to hear of what’s going on in the land that birthed Nelson Mandela. Natives of the 25 year old country have turned on their fellow Africans in protest of the lack of jobs and high crime rate - they blame other Africans in their land, rather than their own government or countrymen. Let’s take a deeper look at the root causes of hatred in South Africa. We’ll find they are the same roots that have taken place in black countries around the world. .
