Natural resources account for the majority of Africa's wealth. Natural capital accounts for the second-biggest share of the continent's total wealth, after the countries that make up the hydrocarbon-rich Gulf Cooperation Council. Even in terms of natural capital, Sub-Saharan Africa has a bigger percentage of natural capital and total wealth than resource-rich O.E.C.D countries. Africa, in reality, contains the majority of the world's mineral deposits. As a result, there is greater opportunity in the world for natural resource enterprises in Africa. While the continent may not be as wealthy in other ways, it is undeniably fertile and rich in natural mineral resources.
