African Development Bank satisfied with the progress of projects they are funding in Kenya!!

The African Development Bank (AfDB) Executive Director, Jonathan Nzayikorera has expressed satisfaction in the progress of infrastructural projects the institution is funding in Kenya.

During an inspection of the Kenol - Sagana - Marua Highway Improvement Project Nzayikorera said they have so far injected 3.5 billion dollars in areas of infrastructure, water sanitation and agriculture.

One of such projects is the 14 billion shillings 84 Kilometres Kenol Marua highway extension project.

According to Chief Engineer Roads, Eng. James Kung’u said the project consists of two lots: Lot 1 - Dualling of Kenol - Sagana which is currently 80% complete, and Lot 2 - Dualling of Sagana - Marua which is 68% complete.

They also visited the trauma centre is being set up as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the project at Sagana hospital.

Director General KeNHA, Eng. Kungu Ndungu said there are more of these benefits emanating from the project.

Nzayikorera says the bank will continue working with Kenya on other projects meant to help the society.
