African (Ethiopian) History in LORD OF THE RINGS.

While LORD OF THE RINGS is definitely based on Norse and English history, it is possible that Tolkien may have also drawn some inspiration from Ethiopia as well. This is only my opinion, based on what I learned while researching Ethiopia for my book, THE RED MONK OF ROHA.
