African gods love it !!!

The African rain dances have been performed accompanied by other rituals such as prayers and sacrifices to the ancestors and/or gods.
In most parts of Southern Africa rain rituals were directed towards royal ancestors because they were believed to have control over rain and other natural phenomena.
The video you have just watched was a beautiful take on the Rain dance by the Joburg Ballet with the inspiration from the Queen Modjadji of the Balobedu people.
