African Heroes and Heroines

Unbeknownst to many, women and young Africans during their time made significant contributions towards the struggle for African liberation. As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the OAU/AU, we must recall the past contributions of women and young people. We must also take stock of Africa today, its assets, capabilities, opportunities and challenges and begin to chart the course towards an agenda for 2063, with a view to shaping the vision of the continent for the next 50 Years. African women and youth have a major role to play in the future of African Renaissance and Pan Africanism and must now prepare take up the mantle of leadership. Arise!
