African Writers Conference Berths in Tanzania
The African Writers Conference, which is the first of its kind, is an annual event of the Writers Space Africa (WSA) in partnership with the African Writers Development Trust (AWDT). This conference is rotated among African Countries every year and it targets Writers of African descent living on the continent and in the Diaspora. It brings together Writers, Literary Veterans, Book Enthusiasts, Journalists, Policymakers, and the Youth from across Africa. The goal is to engage a global narrative on the future of the African writer, the state of African literature, and the hope of renaissance. The reason for this is because, now more than ever, is the time to begin the thread that sparks the fire which lights up the untapped potentialities of African literature with its rich and diverse culture.
The theme for the 2021 AWC is ‘The Future of African Literature’. It wil be held in Dar es Salam, Tanzania.
