Algeria has circulated a new draft Security Council resolution demanding an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. The move comes after a lengthy Council meeting on Wednesday that sought to ventilate the recent ruling by the International Court of Justice imposing provisional measures on Israel's conduct in its military offensive against Hamas and other militant groups in Gaza that has seen a massive number of civilians killed.
