A MESSAGE FROM AMBASSADOR AYEGBA ABDULLAHI ADOJOH
Hello everyone here. My name is Amb Ayegba Abdullahi Adojoh, the General Ambassador of Igala Nation Worldwide. Yes, Igala is an extremely ancient ethnic group and a great Kingdom of Nigeria having her headquarters in Idah, Kogi state.
And do you know what? We are descendants of Ata, the 4th Pharaoh of the first dynasty Pharaohs. He ruled from 3000- 2990 BC, and after his name we have the title of our king, Attah Igala (Please Google "evidence of Igala migration from Egypt" and "Igala: The original rulers of Ancient Egypt" by Amb Ayegba).
But that is not all. I have been in the palace of the king of Igala Nation worldwide since 2014. My role? To search for the locations of indigenous Igala people outside Kogi state and outside Nigeria and reconnect them home especially to our king, Attah Igala himself.
Interestingly, I and my team (United Igala Kingdom team) have achieved a lot within and outside Nigeria. And so, were you told before that your ancestors were Igala or your people migrated from Igala area of Kogi state or any indigenous Igala communities across Nigeria to outside Nigeria or your DNA test has revealed Igala link or you are practicing Igala religion, culture or Ifa in your area presently? When the British government came to Nigeria (no Nigeria then), they went to Attah Igala in his palace, Idah. They appealed for Lokoja land which was leased to them in an agreement for some years. Igala was so organized like a country then, having securities (soldiers, and Navies on River Niger), royal judiciary, police, commerce, agriculture and everything so arranged. With this structure, the British regarded Igala as a country, and the Attah as Attah of Igala country. He was probably the only King of a particular ethnic group then as many traditional rulers were for towns and not the entire tribe unified under one king like Igala. During the Berlin conference, the documents given to the British by Attah Igala were presented by the British that they already had Nigeria (Igala country and environs), hence was granted the power to colonise Nigeria or Igala country and environs.
During the process of colonisation, the British no longer remember Igala who gave them Lokoja where their people like Lord Lugard was staying o. They started combining tribes speaking related languages and gave them new tribe's names. In fact, even indigenous Igala outside Benue confluence were merged into the newly created tribes and tagged major tribes of Nigeria. Today, some of their "combinations" are trying to split while the humiliated Igala Kingdom is reuniting with her children even from the major tribes where the British forced them to belong.
We gave you land to stay, in return, you forced our children to belong to another tribe.
