The richness and diversity of Nigeria’s culture have always been cited as a strong reason why tourism should be a major foreign exchange earner for the country.

From the East to the West, and the North down to the South, the country is naturally endowed with rich tourist sites.

The Osun Osogbo Groove, Obudu Cattle Ranch, Yankari Game Reserve, the Mambila Plateau, the list is inexhaustible.

When it comes to festivals, Nigeria is not lacking either. From the Argungu Fishing Festival to the Eyo Festival, and the Durba, almost every state in the country hosts one or more festivals yearly.

As part of the drive to make Nigeria a tourist destination, the country celebrates Nigeria Travel Week in November every year. The event brings together buyers, consumers, entrepreneurs, and other service providers as well as the media, to discuss the development of Nigeria’s tourism industry.
