Banc d'Arguin National Park, Mauritania (in English)

The Banc d'Arguin National Park is one of MAVA's iconic sites.
This vast protected area, situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Sahara Desert, stretches over 12 000 km² along the Mauritanian coast. It is home to the largest concentration of West African birds. Over two million resident or migratory birds find shelter and food in abundance in the area.
