In tonight's edition: Benin feels the pinch of Nigeria's recession, health officials in Niger fight the spread of a mysterious disease, and a South African opera star releases her debut album.
A World Bank report warns of the lowest growth levels in 20 years in sub-Saharan Africa. It's mainly due to troubles in powerhouses South Africa and Nigeria, but smaller countries like Benin are feeling the pinch.
Also, close to two dozen people in Niger have died from Rift Valley Fever, a viral illness with no known cure. Health authorities are hoping to educate at-risk populations to avoid more deaths.
And from aspiring accountant to opera singer: South Africa's Pretty Yendé is releasing her debut album, aptly named "a Journey".
