Buba Galadima is a farmer, maverick politician, rebel with a cause and prominent figure who, it is fair to say, has shifted political party alliances and allegiances many many times. He was a leading supporter of Muhammadu Buhari in his repeated leadership challenges, helping him to eventually secure the presidency in 2015. But they subsequently fell out and he moved on to support former vice president Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 presidential campaign…and so on. You could say that Mr Galadima has built a reputation as a sort of consummate political survivor. But who is he and where has he come from? Who is he today and how did he get there?
