Public sector workers have described the 2023 budget as a missed opportunity by government to do right by the workers. Finance minister Enoch Godongwana presented the 2023 budget where he failed to make an announcement on a revised wage offer for the workers. They demonstrated in Pretoria and Cape Town in efforts to serve the employer with a 7-day strike notice in the public sector.
