Cameroon: WAZA NATIONAL PARK
Waza National Park was initially formed as a hunting reserve in 1934. Later, in 1968, it was made a national park, and in 1979, a UNESCO biosphere reserve. The Waza National Park has a surface area of 17,000 square kilometers and is known for its Sahel and savannah vegetation.
Waza National Park is one of the most significant parks in Africa and the most famous wildlife park in Cameroon's capital city. It is also the only park where you can observe endangered creatures.
Waza National Park is reportedly the most stunning and spectacular wildlife refuge in West Africa.
It's also one of the ten parks and reserves where the big five lions, elephants, rhinoceroses, leopards, and buffaloes can be found, which Cameroon takes great pride in. This Park contains one of Africa's best-preserved rainforest portions
