Cape Verde an island archipelago some 350+ miles off the coast of Africa is in fact the Westernmost point of the continent and for that reason became a major stopover for those perpetrating in the slave trade and later as a commercial hub. There is just SO much to see and explore in these 10 beautiful volcanic islands including the culture, raw nature, history, people, and definitely the music!
