Cats and Dogs in Ancient Egypt
Despite a huge diversity of species, many of which making their way into the homes of the ancient Egyptians, like us they had a preference for cats and dogs.
The two had different places in society - cats were highly revered while 'dog' was sometimes used in a derogatory way - but some of the contrasts might surprise you.
