Crude Oil Theft: Nigerian Navy Take Over Rogue Vessel

After three months of intense diplomatic negotiations, the Nigerian Navy have taken over a rogue vessel “MT Heroic Idun” from the authorities of Equatorial Guinea.

On the 8th of August this year, the vessel was intercepted at the Akpo oilfield by the “Nigerian Navy Ship Gongola”, but resisting arrest, the Captain and crew sped to Equatorial Guinea where it was arrested for infractions on its waters.
