In tonight's edition: a three-day dusk-to-dawn curfew is imposed in Abia state in southeast Nigeria; Tunisian MPs approve a controversial law granting amnesty to officials linked to corruption during the rule of former leader Ben Ali; and in Libya, a crackdown on trafficking gangs operating out of the city of Sabrata begins to bear fruit.
A three-day dusk-to-dawn curfew is imposed in Abia state in southeastern Nigeria due to mounting tensions between pro-Biafra supporters and the military. We find out more.
Also, Tunisian MPs approve a controversial law granting amnesty to officials linked to corruption during the rule of former leader Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali. Critics of the law say it’s a step backwards, while government supporters say it will help turn a page on the past.
And in Libya, a crackdown on trafficking gangs operating out of the city of Sabrata has started to bear fruit. Italian authorities say they've noticed a marked drop in the number of arrivals dangerously smuggled in from the other side of the Mediterranean.
