DITIRAGALO EPISODE 3

Ditiragalo is a television drama series. Two families, The Mogapi and Mogapinyana are at war over the inheritance of a farm believed to be sitting on an underground ocean. Each household has secretly surveyed and established the same water-point. The decision to share the farm equally hits a snag because the water-point falls outside the boundaries of the heir (Mogapi family) according to custom. The Mogapinyana family is a family whose life timeline is rooted in Christianity while the Mogapi family possess supernatural powers that dupe human logic.
The victim in this narrative is Shakes, Mogapinyana’s younger son and an all-time celebrity who rose to fame through football and athletics. When the war heats up, the Mogapi family use witchcraft to turn him into a Matholwane (a person who is transformed into a workhorse by means of traditional witchcraft. He spends time working and eating only. He forgets where he comes from, his relatives or any other person he has known yet he looks normal) who spends the rest of his life working for the Mogapi family in nerve-racking hard labor as the war rages on. Ditiragalo is an untold painful story of greed, faith and witchcraft.
