Eastern Cape Government celebrates Africa Day

As Africa celebrates Africa Day the Eastern Cape Government held a colloquium on Makhanda and the Battle of Egazini which was fought in 1819 between Xhosa warriors and British colonial forces in Makhanda. The celebration is held as the province promotes and profiles the Wars of Resistance that took place in the Eastern Cape between 1779 – 1881. Newzroom Afrika’s Siphosethu Booi filed this report.
