Ecowas To Deploy 95 Election Observers To Sierra Leone

the ECOWAS Commission has approved the deployment of 95 Election Observers to observe Sierra LEONE’S June 24 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr Omar Alieu Touray who made the decision known says it is in line with the provisions of Articles 12 to 14 of the 2001 regional Supplementary Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance on assistance to Member States holding elections.
ECOWAS has also provided Sierra Leone with 500 thousand US dollars, in financial support for the elections.
