Ethiopian PM: Debt Hinders Development in African Countries

African countries face an unprecedented financing squeeze that is forcing them to focus on managing debt rather than development, Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said during France's climate summit on Thursday.

Ahmed urged reform of multilateral development banks to ensure they play a greater role in addressing the crises hitting the continent.
