FRANCE v SOUTH AFRICA WHAT A GAME
The final game in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup was played today at the Stade de France in Paris between the host nation France and the 2019 Rugby World Cup Champions South Africa.
It promised to be yet another titanic battle between two great rugby playing nations. France had won Pool A of this years tournament on the way to the quarterfinal beating the New Zealand All Blacks in the opening game.
South Africa had suffered a close loss to Ireland in Pool B of this competition, but a win in this game would see South Africa go further in this years tournament than Ireland.
A packed Stade de France welcomed the two teams onto the ground and after two very passionate renditions of their respective national anthems it was game on.
