Fried Plantains - African food Recipes

In this video, I'm going to show you how I fry my plantains, super simple but full of flavor.
Ingredients:
• 4 banana plantain, peeled and cut
• 1 onion, sliced
• 1 teaspoon of chili powder
• 1 teaspoon of salt
• ½ cup of water
• Red palm oil or any vegetable oil
Direction:
Step 1: Heat the oil in your skillet and fry the plantains until they are golden brown. Remove them from the oil and set aside.
Step 2: Reduce the oil from the skillet and leave about a table spoon.
Then add the onions, ground chili pepper and salt. Stir fry for few minutes. Return the fried plantains in the pot add the half cup of water, cover and simmer at a low heat for a few minutes.
When it ready serve it as a side dish or alone.
