Ghana: Film-Making

A Ghanaian set-designer, Anthony Tomety is asking the country's film-writers and producers, to portray the rich Ghanaian culture through movies. At a film-making dialogue organised by the National Film and Television Institute, NAFTI, Mr Tomety urged participants to effectively apply 'expressionism' in which the arts, literature and music are used as symbolic representations of a reality. In the case of Ghana, the call is directed at producers of audio-visual materials, to play up the country's cultural heritage in their works.
