Hair extensions date back to Cleopatra. Believe it or not, the first documented proof of weaves was in Egypt in the year 3400 BC. Many Egyptian women wore wigs, sewn-on hair pieces and braids made of human hair and dyed wool. Of course things are very different today. But the one constant is the popularity of extensions.
