Harriet Mills - SARS and H1N1: how do pandemics spread so quickly?

The Black Death took three years to infect Europe, whereas 2009’s swine flu pandemic crossed the world in three months. Harriet Mills, a scientist working to understand, and even predict these spreading events to aid more effective interventions, will describe how modelling infection can fight the next global health scare.
