How Ibarapa Was Attacked, Amotekun Commandant Killed, By Men Of The Nigeria Customs Service

Again, residents of Igboora in Ibarapa Central local government area of Oyo state have reasons to stay awake all night as members of Nigerian Custom attacked the suspected smugglers in Igangan.

The atmosphere was tensed as residents are apprehensive of the shootout.

In response, Theophilus Duniya, Customs Public Relations Officer, said Customs Officers and a soldier on duty were injured in an unprovoked attack by smugglers.

The injured Customs Officers were said to be operatives of the Zone A Federal Operations Unit, sighted 8 trucks carrying smuggled foreign parboiled rice whose drivers and armed accompanying passengers launched an attack on the officers.

Duniya confirmed that one of the attackers was shot and disarmed while the others retreated with their smuggled wares.
