How to check your DStv signal strength and signal quality (normal HD or Explora decoder)

In this video we show you how to check the DStv signal strength and quality on your decoder.

This demonstration works for both normal HD decoders and Explora decoders.

Here are a few reasons why you might need to check your DStv signal strength and quality:

- You are experiencing a DStv E48-32 no signal error message.

- A DStv technician has just finished installing your decoder and you just want to check the values of the signal strength and quality.

- Your DStv CatchUp, ShowMax and BoxOffice is not loading at all.

Follow these easy steps to check the signal strength and quality:

1) Press the "Help" button on your DStv remote
2) Select "General Information"
3) Select "Tuner Status"

A signal strength of 50% and above is good for normal HD decoders.

A signal strength less than 50% which make the decoder display an E48-32 error message which shows that there is poor signal reception.

A DStv signal strength and quality of -1% means there is no signal at all.
