In Africa, communication has evolved from a simple drum in a village to high-speed internet access that has changed the way we live. And yet, we still have millions of people who desperately need access to the internet failing to access it. In this talk, Chilufya Musosha breaks down how unlocking internet access could equalise many social and economic imbalances across Zambia, in Africa and the world. Chilufya Musosha is co-Founder of eNgoma Solutions, a social impact technology company promoting the use of technology and data to address society’s biggest problems. Chilufya’s vision is to provide free internet access to 1,000,000 people a day in Zambia and ultimately southern Africa within the next 5 years allowing them access to opportunities for continued learning, inclusive governance, information on climate change, and expanded markets for their small businesses. He is adventurous, loves to travel, and climbing Kilimanjaro is on his bucket list. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
