In todays video I want to share with you my trade secrets on how to start a clothing brand with little to no money at all. When I quit my 9-5 job 5 years ago, I honestly had not properly mapped out how I was going to use my clothing brand to make a living, all I knew was that I wanted to be in the fashion industry.
I had initially started out as a re-seller, buying online from china and using the images to sell. However, due to disappointments with suppliers and the quality of the garments, I decided to start my own clothing brand and set it up online as a way to make money for myself.
What started out as a rebellious story after I had quit my CA(SA) journey has actually grown into a six-figure business which has become my livelihood. Starting FashionDashCouture freed me because not only did it open up my mind to all the possibilities that you can achieve as an entrepreneur, but it also freed my time in order for me to start and run other businesses. So today I am here to share with you all my trade secrets:
1. Consider what kind of clothes you want to sell (most important point)
2. Figure out who your target market will be (not everyone is your customer)
3. Name your brand (brand names differ based on the story you want behind your brand)
