“Baby elephants cry at night, especially the little ones,” said a keeper.
“They are very restless, just like human babies, and wake up often. Sometimes they cry for milk, you have to wake up for them just like a mother with a newborn baby.”
After being released into the wild, the now grown elephants periodically return to find the keepers they have been raised by.
