Fathima, a strong- minded woman, is the lead masseuse of a hammam in Algiers. This is 1995 and the situation is tense in the capital .The day ahead promises to be hectic for all, and for Fathima in particular. She also witnesses a terrorist attack. At the hammam Fathima should feel better, but the atmosphere proves electric in her small enclosed world .She has great difficulty in maintaining order. Then Meriem a sixteen-year-old pregnant girl comes to take shelter at the hammam as her brother is chasing her.
അള്ജിaയേഴ്സിലെ ടര്ക്കിeഷ് സ്റ്റീം ബാത്ത് കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ ( ഹമാം) മസ്സാജറായി ജോലിചെയുകയാണ് ഫാത്തിമ . കഥ നടക്കുന്നത് 1995ലാണ്. തലസ്ഥാനം പ്രക്ഷുഭ്ധമായ സമയം . അടുത്ത ദിവസം ഫാത്തിമയുള്‍പ്പെടെ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും തിരക്കേറിയതാണെന്ന് ഉറപ്പാണ്‌. അവള്‍ ഒരു തീവ്രവാദി ആക്രമണത്തിനും ദൃക്സാക്ഷിയാവുകയാണ്. സാധാരണ ഗതിയില്‍ ഫാത്തിമയ്ക്ക് ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കുന്ന ഹമാമിലും അന്തരീക്ഷംസ്ഫോടനാത്മകമാകുന്നതോടെ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാക്കാന്‍ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകയാണ് . അതേസമയം, തന്നെ പിന്തുടരുന്ന സഹോദരനില്‍ നിന്ന് രക്ഷതേടി പതിനാറു വയസ്സുള്ള ഗര്ഭിുണിയായ മിറിയവും ഹമാമിലെത്തുന്നു.
