Importance of technology development in South Africa's economy

The CSIR celebrates its 70th year of research, development and innovation. A two day conference themed "Ideas that Work" was held at the CSIR's ICC to celebrate this milestone. At the conference CNBC Africa's Nozipho Mbanjwa sat down with some of the high profile speakers, including Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor, to discuss the importance of technology development and the role it plays in South Africa's economy.
