As Africa's economies improve, the demand for better health care will increase but few countries on the continent are able to spend the $34 to $40 a year per person that the World Health Organisation considers the minimum for basic health care. The IFC estimates that about 30 billion U.S dollars in investment is needed in this sector, aid alone cannot and will not fill this gap. CNBC Africa's Nozipho Mbanjwa is joined by Dr Anuschka Coovadia, head of Healthcare for KPMG and Dr. Victor Ng'ani of the Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists & Dentists Board.
