Holidaying in Kenya! From big cats to elephants I'll show you the incredible sights the Maasai Mara has to offer on a Kenya wildlife safari! Witness elephants, lions, cheetahs and more while on this incredible journey through the savanna with our famously fantastic tour guide Paul Kirui. As a professional photographer I love the beautiful Maasai Mara and am choosing to spend the F1 off-season on a Kenyan safari. Join me to see amazing Kenyan wildlife and I'll show you how to take some amazing African wildlife photography shots. If you've never been on an African Safari you should rethink that now, my wife Tonya and I spent months travelling Africa capturing the beauty of Africa in our wildlife photography book, "Africa on Safari," and now we're back after several years away to share this incredible Kenyan wilderness experience with you.

00:13 for nine nights on Safari in Kenya
00:18 Things have gotten a bit hairy we've had
00:19 non-stop rain for about an hour
00:23 we have to dash back before the bridge becomes impassible and it's crazy
01:04 our tent looks to be cut off from the main part of the camp
01:16 see down here there's a quite a flow of water
01:35 the African Adventure Continues
01:45 we want to shoot low to the ground but we can't get out of the car
01:47 I put a camera with a very long lens 100 to 300
01:52 I put this on a monopod and dangle it down here near the grass Tyler connects via the
iPhone and we get these low level shots
02:05 although the difference in height is only about a meter it's a huge difference in the photo because you get
rid of a lot of the background by shooting low and you get more sky
02:20 we're setting up for a breakfast which is a traditional thing out here in the
middle of nowhere with plenty of wildlife around us
02:45 we're heading out looking for Lions
02:46 last night we found a dozen lions
02:59 we've come across this pride of about 12 or 13 Lions have killed a zebra
03:08 there are seven lazy Lions behind us
03:18 we got four giraffes here and we've got a camera sitting on the ground Tyler's doing the remote and it's a it's a really
different shot
03:51lovely light we saw giraffes which we had silhouetted against the sun
03:58 a cheater and then seven Lions feasting on a very recent warthog kill and that was quite
interesting to watch
04:13 thunder lightning and rain and lions
04:19 two male lions not happy with another two so two are chasing two and we're chasing the four
04:30 we've raced ahead and we've got both pairs of lions coming towards us
04:40 it's quite exciting right with the fleeing
04:51 to our left is a beautiful hot air balloon
05:02 love this is breakfast in the Massai mara
05:04 we have this lovely little table out here and behind us a couple of lions wandering around and we'recompletely out here in the open
05:16 on the subject of meals out here you get fed three times a day a great breakfast
and we've chosen to have ours out here we get fed lunch and it's a three course meal always with soup at the start and a pretty tasty dinner
05:37 so what would you expect to pay for a safari like this well they start probably lower end 350
US a day per person and the top end can be over $1,000 a day
05:49 the difference in price boils down to the quality of accommodation and by paying more you get better access to the animals and it's a little more exclusive
05:58 a typical Safariday runs from 6 :30 a.m. until about 12:30 then you have a 4 hours off and you're back out here for another 2 hours finishing up at 6:30
06:12 I'm wearing my Valtteri Botas hat on Safari
06:18 Paul says he spotted a spotted cat it can only be one of two a cheater or a very hard to find leopard
06:30 it is a leopard on our third Safari day what a thrill seeing a leopard today
07:04 the leopard is a beautiful creature one of the hardest creatures to find and now all we're waiting on is a rhino
07:15 we’ve just seen a cheater and it's been a prolific morning for wildlife
07:21 I spent some 26 weeks over 2 and 1/2 years shooting wildlife in the end I produced this 204 page book Africa on Safari
07:29 when I was shooting this book I was using a buggy to get low and close to
animals but I didn't bring it with me on this trip
