Jawhara dessert
2 cups (1⁄2 liter) whole milk
3/4 cup (150 grams) granulated white sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon orange blossom water
OTHER INGREDIENTS:
Warqa sheets (or substitute with phyllo dough)
Vegetable oil for frying
Roasted almonds (chopped)

Moroccan sweet rice briouats
makes about 12
ingredients:
1 spring roll pastry
2 cups arborio or rice pudding rice
2 cups milk or as I like it with condensed milk
cinnamon
2 tbsp. orange blossom water
Chopped almonds
for serving:
confectioners’ sugar for dusting

For 5 years every week we would have an International Slow Food dinner where we all cooked, ate and cleaned up together. This was called Rice and Spice http://eatriceandspice.com/ Usually the cook who came up with the recipe and lead the cooking as well as shared their culture due to this great cultural exchange. I am excited to continue that online with this.
