LESOTHO FASHION WEEK 2018 MODEL CASTING CALL

Lesotho Fashion Week 2018 Model Casting Call, held at Cafe What? in Maseru, Lesotho on 15 September 2018 at 12H00 - 18H00.

Lesotho Fashion Week, set to premier 1-4 November 2018 at Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village will showcase the Autumn/Winter 19 women's wear and men's wear collections. Day 1 of the four day fashion extravaganza will feature “by invitation only VIP Launch Party” where we will launch iTU Espace Design Capsule featuring a preview collection by each of the showcasing designers. The capsule collection will be available for sale at iTU Espace Design, an international boutique based in Grenoble, France for six months in 2019. Day 2 will comprise of the Business of Fashion conference, themed, “Building a successful career in fashion: Secrets from the experts” which will grant designers the core understanding of the business of fashion. The conference will center around the four main elements of the fashion value chain namely design and development, production and supply chain, marketing and communications as well as sales and distribution. Day three will comprise of a womenswear and menswear catwalk by a series of showcasing designers. Day 4 will comprise of a Designer Boutique (Shop the Runway) running alongside a trade exhibition, which will both serve as a wholesale platform for designers to sell directly to boutiques and end users. One designer from Lesotho Fashion Week will showcase their collection at Paris Fashion Week in February / March 2019, Autumn I Winter 19. The aim of showcasing in Paris is to introduce the designer to the global fashion capital and its international consumers, while opening further trade opportunities for their fashion business. The designer's trip to Paris will be followed by a show and tell-session at Alliance Française de Maseru, aimed at transferring the knowledge.
