Lesotho political parties entered into a pact ahead of June 3 polls

Lesotho Prime Minister Pakalitha Mosisili's Democratic Congress, Deputy Prime minister Mothetjoa Metsing's Lesotho Congress for Democracy and other coalition parties have entered into a pact that will see the coalition working together during the upcoming elections on June 3 elections. The parties say this strategy will guarantee them a 50% plus 1 seat majority, and ensure that they retain power.
Many parties on the continent have, in recent times, opted for coalition politics which has led to opposition parties in the SADEC region winning elections.
