The clock we made does not make our lives tick, so everything does not have to come quick...
The cash may not be flowing just the way you want today, but someday there will be a brilliant ray.

From the very first piano note to the ebullient percussions seeing the song to its coda, this is one song that would carve a niche for itself in the annals of history due to the peculiarity surrounding its pre-production, production and post production.

Three minds agreed to meet and met in the studio around noon on Wednesday 9th of March 2011 without any prior written line(s) and by the time they departed about 5 hours later, there was a song of over three minutes which revolves around encouraging anyone going through a dark patch.

It is one song that draws an almost invisible, yet indelible mark between spoken words and sung melodies of both the Queen's English language and the grand Yorùbá language in the glory and splendor of its tonal inflections and contour.

About two days later; unknown to the artiste and producer who were working on evolving other songs meant to be on the album, the lyricist was lying in the accident and emergency hospital ward awaiting surgery.

Máà Kánjú is indeed a song you need to listen to over and over again so that you can live the essence of its origin, simplicity and peculiarity.
