Malawi Vice-President Saulos Chilima arrested : Alexious Kamangira

Malawi's Vice-President Saulos Chilima has been arrested on allegations that he accepted money in exchange for awarding government contracts.

He is accused of receiving 280 thousand dollars and other items from a British businessman Zuneth Sattar.

Chilima has appeared in court but has not commented on the charges. Alexious Kamangira, Malawi Human Rights Lawyer joins us via Zoom.
